Vegan Halloween Monster Donuts Recipe

Halloween is the perfect time to get creative in the kitchen! These vegan Halloween monster donuts are the perfect way to get creative and make something spooky and delicious. The recipe is also vegan, so anyone can enjoy them, no matter their dietary restrictions. The donuts are fluffy and moist, with a touch of sweetness from the icing. The icing is the perfect way to make these donuts look like monsters, with some fun Halloween decorations.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegan cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • Food coloring
  • Halloween decorations for decorating (optional)

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with vegan butter or non-stick spray.

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted vegan butter, coconut sugar, non-dairy milk, and vanilla extract.

Step 3: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 4: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 of the way full. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 5: Let the donuts cool completely before adding the icing. To make the icing, mix together the vegan cream cheese, powdered sugar, and almond extract until smooth. Divide the icing into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl, depending on how many colors you want for your donuts.

Step 6: Dip the donuts in the icing and then decorate with Halloween decorations. Enjoy!
