Ingredients:
- 2 cups strawberries, washed, hulled, and halved
- 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond milk (or other plant-based milk)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons caster sugar for topping
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8-inch round baking dish with vegan butter. Arrange the halved strawberries in the baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, and almond milk. Whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
Pour the batter over the strawberries in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the caster sugar evenly over the top. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top of the Clafoutis is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the Clafoutis to cool before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature with vegan ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!
