  • 3/4 cup vegan margarine
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegan plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegan confectioners sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegan milk


Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the vegan margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Then add the molasses and mix until fully combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
