- 1/2 cup of frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 3/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 sheets of store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon of water
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the spinach, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 3-inch circles using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass. Place the circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
Spoon 1 tablespoon of the spinach and cream cheese mixture onto each puff pastry circle. Fold the edges of the pastry up to make a parcel shape. Pinch the edges to seal.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the egg wash onto the tops of the parcels. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm. Enjoy!
