Iced Latte & Vanilla Ice Cream Float
Nothing says summer like a refreshing iced latte and vanilla ice cream float. With its creamy texture, light sweetness, and bold coffee flavor, this light and delicious treat is sure to be a hit with vegans and non-vegans alike. To make it, all you need are a few simple ingredients and a few minutes of your time.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of cold brewed coffee
- 1 cup of non-dairy milk (e.g. almond or coconut milk)
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 2 scoops of vegan vanilla ice cream
- Optional: vegan whipped cream and crushed ice for topping
Preparation
To begin, you’ll need to make the iced latte. Start by brewing two cups of cold coffee. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use regular brewed coffee and then chill it in the refrigerator. Once the coffee is chilled, add it to a blender along with one cup of non-dairy milk, two tablespoons of maple syrup, and a few ice cubes. Blend the mixture until it’s frothy and smooth.
Next, get two glasses and add two scoops of vegan vanilla ice cream to each glass. Pour the iced latte over the ice cream and stir it together. If you want to add a little extra sweetness, you can drizzle some extra maple syrup on top.
