Ingredients
- 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup of cocoa powder
- ¼ cup of peanut butter or almond butter
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: ¼ cup of vegan chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan with coconut oil.
In a food processor, combine the black beans, cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If desired, stir in the vegan chocolate chips.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into them. Enjoy!
